Bring new energy, curiosity and thinking into classroom teaching and learning
with a practical one-day workshop on the power of Harvard Project Zero’s Visible Thinking Routines
This workshop is for teachers and leaders of all grades and subjects from Grade 0 to matric.
TSSA Trainer Natalie Meerholz (at Roedean School) will share how a selection of Harvard Visible Thinking routines activate active, engaged independent and collaborative thinking in the curriculum, with examples in a range of subjects in Foundation Phase, Senior Primary and High School. Harvard’s Visible Thinking Routines are a wonderful way to complement other ways that your school promotes and develops deeper thinking and learning.
Each Harvard Visible Thinking Routine:
JHB: 31 July at Knights Preparatory School from 9 am - 3 pm
CPT: 6 August at Bishops Preparatory School from 9 am - 3 pm
PE: 27 August at Grey High School from 9 am - 3 pm
Cost: R1100 (includes resources and examples for practical implementation)
Deep Questioning and Philosophical Thinking in the Classroom
If you want to deepen thinking in your classroom, this workshop is for you!
It is for teachers by teachers (who are TSSA Trainers) and all about putting thinking and reasoning into practice. Kemble Elliott, Monica Baart and Di Horsten have deep classroom experience of developing great questioning, enquiry and critical thinking with students of all ages, and we are delighted that they are sharing best practice with us.
Whether you are a leader or teacher of Foundation Phase, Senior Primary or High School, you will come away with the tips and tools to bring new life to the concepts you need to teach.
You will learn how to get your students to grapple with deeper, more fascinating questions, and to learn much more effectively. Don’t miss this great opportunity!
Friday, 6 September at Herzlia Constantia, Cape Town
